Downtown Dialogue - What's Up Downtown

TIDBITS

Historic Preservation Building

This month in conjunction with the Historic Preservation Commission, we are featuring:

Porta House
925 LaFarge Ave.

Italian immigrants Henry (a miner) and Edith Porta lived in this house. His father Antonio moved the home onto this lot in 1896 and it was lived in by the Porta family (including WWII vet Albert) for over 100 years.

Happy New Year!

We hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with family, friends and festivities. As 2018 rolls in, we’re looking forward to some changes at the Downtown Business Association with new Board members, another great Street Faire for 8 nights in the summer, and more proactive marketing programs which include a new look for the Downtown Dialogue and increased social media efforts. We’ll be talking about all of this at our Annual Meeting in March, open to those of you who are DBA members. If you’re not a member, just go to our website and learn more about the benefits of being a DBA member. www.downtownlouisvilleco.com/members/
