Dog of the Month

Downtown Dog
of the Month

Happy New Year! There’s a reason they are called Miracles with Paws. Here’s wishing a great 2016 to all our four footed friends.

Historic Moments
This month in conjunction with the Historic Preservation Commission, we are featuring:

The Jacoe Store

The Jacoe Store
(now our History Museum)
1001 Main Street

This building, built circa 1903, is a well-preserved example of a neighborhood grocery. Its large-pane display windows and central entrance are typical of this once common commercial building type. Emilio and Ann Jacoe sold Italian foods (obtained in Denver) to Louisville’s Italian residents from the 1920s to 1950s.
