The 2014 Ribbon Mural will be unveiled on August 1, at a reception at Creative Framing in Louisville. People in attendance can purchase ribbons representing different cancers to be placed on the ribbon mural at the event. There will also be an opportunity to purchase ribbons on August 2, during the Relay for Life at Waneka Lake (see above). The Ribbon Mural will be located in the lobby of Good Samaritan Medical Center for the month of August.

In two weeks students will plan, shoot, and edit a short film using professional cameras, lighting gear, sound equipment, and the latest editing system. Every day students will have a new role (director, screenwriter, editor, cinematographer, etc.) and at the end of the session be able to share their work with a DVD of the completed project. And when you hit your elbow, why does the tingle go all the way to your hand? Learn these answers and more at the Anatomy in Clay series of events. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. The program is designed for middle school aged students.

Gale Courses Now Available to Library Users
Gale Courses offer businesses and individuals everything from Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks, to grant writing and project management, to wellness and personal enrichment. Gale Courses are developed by expert instructors, many of whom are currently working at universities around the country, and have continuous enrollment dates. The courses are free to Louisville Library users with a valid Library card.
