On April 6th, gallery owners Vickey Swenson and Tom Parsons depart for a twelve-hundred mile art gallery road trip. Follow them as they explore other galleries through their gallery Facebook and Blog, both accessible from the gallery’s website.

Hecla Mine Strike Historical Driving Tour

Meet in front of the Blue Parrot

To mark the 100th anniversary of this significant historical event in Colorado, come on a historical driving tour of Louisville locations that were important in the 1914 Hecla strike conflict. Ron Buffo will tell the stories of the sequence of events at a few planned stops. The Blue Parrot was the location of the Union Hall where angry striking miners congregated on April 27, 1914 before they headed towards the Hecla Mine.
Attendees are responsible for their own transportation.

True Grime: A Talk and Demonstration on the Curatorial Cleaning of Louisville’s Antique Safe
