June 10 • CJ Chenier
Straight from New Orleans it’s the Real Zydeco Deal. CJ and the Red Hot Louisiana Band tore it down last year and are sure to have the Steinbaugh boppin’ again.

June 17 • Little Feat
The Dixie Chicken is headed to Louisville. Billy Payne, Paul Barrere, Kenny Gradney, Sam Clayton, Fred Tackett, Gabe Ford and the Great American Songbook of Lowell George – rain or shine it‘s gonna be an amazing night.

June 24 • The Samples
We’re thrilled to have The Samples on the Steinbaugh stage for the first time! It’s going to be a rock-n-reggae party with local-boy-made-good Sean Kelly and band.

July 8 • A Very Special Evening with Chris and Hazel
Two of Colorado’s most beloved and talented musicians, Hazel Miller and Chris Daniels, have each played the Faire a record six times – join us for lucky seven.

July 15 • Great American Taxi
“Americana Without Borders” is how GAT describes their no-limits sound. It’s going to be an evening of amazing musicianship and good jam band vibes at the Steinbaugh.

July 22 • Tab Benoit
Pure. Talent. More of that Louisiana vibe that seems to work so well at the Faire – Tab Benoit brings his take on the blues from deep in his soul directly to Historic Downtown.

July 29 • Firefall
They call the Steinbaugh “home.” Join 5000 of your closest friends for a magical evening with Jock Bartley and the timeless tunes of this legendary Boulder band.

August 5 • Hamilton Loomis
The first year Hamilton played the Faire he didn’t draw too well, but word travels fast in these parts. If you’ve seen him, you know – if you haven’t, you might want to get there early.

August 12 • Marcia Ball
Straight from N’awlins and back by popular demand, Marcia and her smokin’ hot band are making their third consecutive appearance at the Faire.

Mudslinger’s Pottery School is Moving

Public Opening May 6

After 14 years on Main Street, the studio and school is moving to the Bronze Elk building where they will have larger glaze and classroom areas and gallery displays. And be sure to attend their Spring Clay Fling at the Louisville Rec Center May 4 from 9 am – 6 pm.

First Friday Art Walk

May 6
6 – 9 pm
Celebrate the spring with art, great food and activities at Art Underground, Anthony Grant Studios, and many participating Downtown eateries. Creative Framing and Art Gallery will host Outdoor Expression, featuring the work of Mary Ann Solbrig, Tom Nasky, Greta Smith Greenfield and Diane Corl, with hors d’oeuvres, wine and music.

Louisville Art Association Presents Tactile and Art Challenge Show

May 21 – 30
7 – 9 pm
The Tactile and Art Challenge Show at the Louisville Center for the Arts will feature touchable art in various mediums and works by artists with disabilities, 16 or older.

Free Acupuncture Clinic for Military Veterans

Wednesdays
6 – 8 pm
The Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture on South Boulder Rd, holds a free clinic for military vets and family members. The clinic is associated with the Military Stress Recovery Project of Acupuncturists Without Borders.

New family and postnatal yoga classes and expanded community classes are slated to kick off this month.

Movies at the Empire

Library Happenings Celebrating National Preservation Month

May 4 and May 23
First, Beth Barrett, director of Library and Museum Services, will present an overview of Colorado’s unique theatrical legacy, on May 4 at 7 pm. On May 23, “Energy Upgrades to Historic Buildings” will show you how to improve energy performance without destroying the historic character of your building. There will be information about grants and financial incentives available through various local organizations for these improvements.
